Super Tartan Conquest Twin. (Nitro Version)

The Super Tartan “Conquest” (properly designated as the Super Tartan 77G “Contest” Version) is an iconic, Italian-manufactured 44cc twin-cylinder model airplane engine. It was highly popular in the late 1980s and 1990s for large 1/4-scale radio-controlled aircraft.

While “Conquest” is a common misnomer among RC flyers, the factory-labeled box actually reads “Contest Version”.
The Super Tartan 77G / “Contest” (Glow/Nitro): This is the version tailored specifically to burn methanol-based glow fuel using dual glow plugs instead of spark plugs. It was lighter because it stripped away the heavy magneto ignition hardware.
Displacement: 44cc (Twin-cylinder opposed configuration / Boxer layout).
Power Output: Approximately 4.6 HP.

Induction: Reed valve system.
Cylinder Lining: Premium hard chrome or Nikasil bores, historically known for showing almost zero cylinder wear under proper maintenance.
